Impact
This clinic delivers high-quality, accessible care in a trusted community setting—led by Nurse Practitioners, in collaboration with nurses, physicians, and allied health providers. It expands healthcare access in a population with barriers to primary care and is among the fastest NPLC implementations in Ontario from concept to launch.

Why It Matters
Ottawa’s NPLC represents a shift toward sustainable, team-based care. By putting Nurse Practitioners at the center of service delivery, it meets patients where they are—culturally, geographically, and medically—while alleviating strain on emergency departments and traditional physician practices. Melicaa is proud to support a model that prioritizes equity, access, and innovation in healthcare.
